Tobias has worked as an Engineering Data Analyst with Mindsheet for the last 2 years supporting the Aerospace and Maritime industries. He has experience analysing, manipulating, and managing big data for use in a range of models and scenarios. His background in Law and Engineering means he is able to research and evaluate many data sources and distill them into useful models that aid critical decision-making.
Previously, Tobias worked as a Patent Examiner for the UK Intellectual Property Office for 6 years. His role consisted of the search and examination of patent applications, particularly in the manufacturing and semiconductor State space. During this time, he received a master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law and worked on projects such as improving Patent Examiner output, analysing failure demand within the job, and recruiting and training Patent Examiners.
Prior to joining the Intellectual Property Office, he received his Electrical & Electronic Engineering BEng from Brunel University where he focussed on Digital Systems, Control Systems, and Signal Processing. His final year dissertation was “Facial Recognition with respect to photographs”.
