Joseph (“Max”) Rogers is a Mindsheet Associate with a background in both the military (12 years including ROTC) and thereafter the private sector (14 years). Max’s career began with the U.S. Navy as a pilot following his graduation from the University of Michigan and the ROTC program.
He enjoyed a high-profile career as a Naval Aviator beginning from his early days as a distinguished graduate from the flight program and being selected to fly jet aircraft. His flying resume is second to none, consistently rising to the top of all peer rankings to his prestigious selection into the distinguished Test Pilot program at Pax River.
His performance led to test pilot roles in high-angle of attack flight, carrier suitability testing, and ordinance release experiments. His passion for test piloting and acumen for the role was rewarded in being selected as the US Navy’s Test Pilot of the Year for 1993/1994 as well as being selected as a finalist for NASA’s Astronaut program.
Since leaving the military, Max has been President/CEO at HFI, Operating Partner at Michigan Capital Partners, President/CEO at Grupo Antolin, VP of Consumer Electronics Business Unit at Delphi, and an independent consultant. Prior to those positions, he was with Delphi and TRW Automotive in positions of increasing responsibility including Director roles in Customer Development, Business Development, and Sales & Marketing.
Max holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan; an MS in Aerospace Systems from the University of Tennessee; and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Michigan State University. As noted briefly, he also holds title/honors as a graduate of the United States Naval Test Pilot School at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland.
